A fun filled weekend we spent along the North Shore of Lake Superior camping and enjoying the natural wonders of this remote slice of heaven. On this particular evening, we stopped at this tombolo and I was just blown away by how remote it was. If I had to guess, I'd say we spent a few hours just soaking the sunlight and the calm nature of Superior.
When we left and returned to our campsite, I worked on this image right away because I was so stoked on how the golden light radiated this tombolo. It was truly a thing of natural beauty. In hindsight, I'm glad that I did work on this one immediately because soon after, my memory card got wiped and all my files from this day and prior were long gone. That was definitely a bummer but I'm grateful to not only have experienced this scenery in person but also, to still have an image from that magical evening at the tombolo.
I eventually came home with 3 different versions of this scene in different lighting. Golden hour truly has this sense of pure magic to it.
