Upon going for a morning drive I wanted to get out and enjoy the morning sunrise before starting my day. I didn't have any location in mind to capture but I brought my gear with me just in case I found something worth while. The sun was beginning to make its way over the horizon and I was making my way on the outskirts of town until I spotted the ice rushing up on the shoreline. I decided to pull over and scout out the area for something interesting to capture.
Many people stopped to take in the morning beauty of the spectacle of the ice that resembled shattered glass on the shore and I came upon this interesting spot to capture this winter wonder. The skies had a faint haze towards it and this frozen rock was remaining as solid as can be while the ice was becoming its temporary neighbor.
The sounds of ice crashing creating its own music in nature showing the signs of a seasonal transition. I haven't seen the ice like this in a few years and this was definitely a treat to start the day off on a good note.
This pocket of peace was something I wish that the whole world could witness. The winds off the lake was reminding me that we are still in the winter season and I was also greeted with a unique "Good Morning" from the lake by getting my foot wet upon stepping on what I thought was solid ice. It was a good laugh that I needed in the moment and also a message to enjoy the process of life. I wasn't bummed about having a wet foot because I left with the thought of not to take life too seriously because we overlook the little moments that we would regret later on.
