Duluth, Minnesota
Lupines, Lake Superior, and beautiful evening skies all combined all into one panoramic image.
During the early half of summer here along Minnesota's North Shore, there's a short window for capturing lupines. I was seeking a location to capture them along the shores of Lake Superior and I had struggled for quite a bit.
One evening while I was driving, I wanted to go for a drive and hunt down these invasive beauties while I still had the window of time available.
I saw this mount full of them along the side of the road with the lake in the background. I knew this was the scenery that I was seeking out and I was adamant on capturing this in a panoramic form.
The skies were just illuminating that evening glow of summer and all was in harmony here.
This was a scene that I had envisioned and I was grateful to fulfill that vision.
