After a peaceful evening, I woke up to some faint morning light that caught my eye while half sleep. Stumbling around to grab my gear, I got ready to get out and spring into photography action. During this weekend adventure, I took 3 versions of this scenery under different lighting conditions. This location was on my list of places to experience and each moment was just special in its own way.
The predawn glow while capturing this moment was just something outer-worldly, though the mosquitos decided to turn me into a buffet but this was totally worth it. I have no complaints about it at all. In all honesty, I'd do it all over again in a New York minute.
I knew the perfect location would be this tombolo along the North Shore. This is just a beauty to gaze upon, and to capture it right before the morning light would be key element to highlight the raw natural beauty of this hidden gem along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
