Canyon Falls Roadside Park
L’Anse, Michigan
During my second trip the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I was suggested to check out Canyon Falls. I had car camped here the night before not really knowing what to make of it at the time. I came back here later on during the day to hike through the trails to experience the gorge and its vibrant colors. I was completely blown away by this beautiful waterfall and all I could think was “I slept here the night before?!”.
Upon arriving at this waterfall, I was scoping out a unique framing to highlight this magnificent array of foliage and rock. I spent well over an hour here just taking this all in. The full peak of the autumn leaves gave this scene a major contrast of colors. There was a subtle soft light shining down on this scene from an overcast day. It definitely set the tone for this moment that I was soaking up.
