Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park
Kakabeka Falls, Ontario
I wanted to shy away from the traditional image of Kakabeka Falls when we were here. There was definitely a lot to unpack with this natural wonder. I decided to zero in on more details highlighting the winter season as well as the power of the Kam river.
This bit of framing that I saw spoke to me in a way that told a story. The breaking away of the snow and ice that refuses to remain silent. It was special to witness in person. The tree in the foreground gave off this vibe as if it was encouraging the Kam river to come out of hibernation and shine its natural beauty for all to see. It made me think of life in general.
Sometimes with the daily grind we tend to dim our own light and hibernate our aura. The Kam river showed me this in person as it was breaking through the snow and ice and had zero care if anyone else saw it release itself from this bondage.
Nature can be very educational if you observe it closely.
